A qualified dentist is an AADSM member who has a valid state dental license, professional liability coverage and at least 25 hours of recognized continuing education in dental sleep medicine provided by a dental sleep medicine focused non-profit organization or accredited dental school in the last two years. Dental sleep medicine is not recognized as a specialty area by the American Dental Association.
